About Us

Since 2012, we have been providing services to many leading clinical research companies in Africa.

2018 was a great milestone when one of our privileged partners trusted us with a huge HIV study in Nigeria, a study deployed almost on the entire country. Over 135,000 adults were recruited. This study allowed us to better establish our processes and to strengthen our visibility.

Since then, the number of our partners, our countries of intervention, and our service portfolio have grown. In order to consolidate our achievements and better face new challenges.

Below are some of the milestones in the work we have done up until now.

1. 2012 – Likak Research founded in Dakar, Senegal, by Dr. Elisabeth A. Liyong Diallo.
2. 2013 – Likak Research performs site monitoring activities on behalf of several clients and partners.
3. 2018 – Likak Research adds Site management, project Management and coordination to its portfolio.
4. 2021 – Likak Research increases in-house staff and relocates its headquarters in Dakar, Senegal.

Our vision is to bring innovative medical products, services, and technologies to populations all over the African continent and in developing countries. We pursue excellence by ensuring that international standards guide our work and our processes are strongly established. Sharing our expertise and resources as need arises is also part of our specificities. As a result, we contribute to creating better living conditions for our communities.

Multidisciplinarity : The complexity of our field, the desire to improve data integrity and ensure the delivery of appropriate medicines to our populations are integral parts of our work. To achieve this, we combine skills and profiles as varied as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, project managers, lawyers and political scientists, etc. Diversity is our strength!

Human-based approach : We believe that people should be at the center of our clinical research, wherever it is conducted. Human rights and values: empathy, fairness, kindness, integrity… are at the heart of every action we take.

Our Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, nurses, clinical trial investigators and coordinators, public health experts are posted in different countries of West, central and east Africa.

The team combines fluency in English, French, Portuguese, Haitian creole and also different African languages such as Wolof, Ashanti, Lingala, Bassa, Ewondo, Bambara, Malinké, guerzé, Mina, Miènè, Fulani, Duala, etc.

Our co-constructive approach on the ground is conducted by our Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) with a strong commitment to excellence in the ethics of the profession and their protocols.
