On January 9, 10 and 11, LIKAK Research organized the joint Sfade-Dar-D2A diabetology congress at the Noom Hotel Dakar (formerly Radisson Blu Sea Plaza) under the theme:
“Diabetes and Ramadan: Realities in Sub-Saharan Africa”.
This international congress was attended by 349 delegates from 18 countries in West, North and Central Africa. These 3 days were an opportunity for experts from various countries and nationalities to reflect and discuss the issue of fasting for diabetics during Ramadan.
These 3 days were highlights of work and discussions on the issue of fasting for diabetics during Ramadan, as evidenced by the following figures:
- 6 plenary sessions
- 5 workshop sessions
- 53 papers displayed
- 4 sessions for a total of 46 papers oral
- 1 panel session
